Since the late 90s, this family owned and run business has been helping other families and business owners of the Surfcoast Shire and beyond by solving their tree maintenance and removal problems. In fact, you might say there is sap in their veins. Begun by Bob and Tracey Langham almost two decades ago, Surfcoast Tree Services is still a business that loves trees and protecting the people living near them. Whenever we consider a job we always keep in mind trees are living beings that support habitats and human existence.
These days, Barney Langham runs the company and it’s safe to say the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
He applies the same care and expertise his parents did and he’s backed it up by becoming a qualified arborist. Accordingly, he can assess and write reports on trees for various purposes and can accurately spot one that needs attention before quickly going about remedying the problem.
Surfcoast Tree Services is largely a referral based business. Consequently, Barney knows he must exceed his clients’ expectations so they are happy to recommend him to others. This is something Barney’s clients confidently do.

The Surfcoast Tree Services fleet currently includes:
- 2 Hino Ranger Tip Trucks with 15 cubic metre mulch bins
- 1 4WD Hino Ranger Tip Truck with 15 cubic metre mulch bin
- 1 Isuzu Tip Truck with 20 cubic metre mulch bin
- 3 Rayco 18, 15 and 12 inch wood chippers fitted with electric winches
- 2 Stump Grinders, one large and one small for various access requirements (860mm minimum access required for small grinder)
- 22 Metre OMME Spider Lift / Elevated Work Platform
- 5.5 Ton Case Excavator
- 1 Landcruiser 4WD tipper ute fitted with a 4 cubic metre mulch bin
- A number of wood delivery utes and 4WD support vehicles
We also have Chainsaws, Polesaws, Hedge Trimmers, Blowers and tree climbing and rigging equipment of varying sizes to complete all types of work.
We have the means to access any other size chipper or machinery to fulfil any other requirements.
